Set in an inner city suburb this garden has it share of challenges. Shale and clay. Hot humid summers with occasional deluges. Cool, dry winters. Tight spaces. Limited views.

We have lived here for 15 years. As we don't plan on moving, this will be a garden for now and the years to come.

Like anyone planning a garden, there are so many decisions to be made. Some problems need to be solved, others can be deferred. While choices are endless, the cost prunes it to a tight shortlist.

We believe good planning will be the key to how well this comes together.
